RED VELVET CRINKLE COOKIES

I saw these delicious cookies and I knew I had to try them. They looked so fluffy and soft that I feel in love with them. I love anything red velvet so you do not have to sell me twice about these sweet morsels. Perfect for Valentines' Day, Christmas or any holiday that your heart is set on. As far as cookies go, I think this is my favourite, coming a close second to chocolate cookies, that reminds me, this year I have to make them! I always enjoy the store bought ones but it is time I filled my house with the sweet aroma of baking cookies. I cannot wait, especially now that I have moved into my own house, so excited to try out the recipes I have been postponing for too long. I even have some recipes that are in draft form for 2018! What? All 68 of them, just waiting to be created. This beginning of the year will be the time to finish any left over recipes on my blog and develop new ones. Meanwhile, enjoy the video that I made on my YOU TUBE channel below. Leave a comment and let me know what you love about red velvet cookies.

RED VELVET MUG CAKE - 7 DAYS OF RED VELVET

Guys, can you believe that tomorrow is Valentines Day? Day where there will be more chocolate, flowers and wine bought than any other time of the year! It's crazy that one day brings with it so much emotion that when the day is gone, you wonder what the fuss is all about. At least we get to celebrate love in all its glory and sweet pain. Day 6 brings us to this red velvet mug cake that takes less than 2 minutes to create. It had been a while since I made a mug cake and since yesterday we had a decadent dessert I thought why not cleanse your palates with this. I'm getting all giggly thinking about tomorrow because I haven't had a valentine day celebration in a while, you can't really ignore tomorrow since red is everywhere! Anyway before I go on a full random blubering, hope you enjoy this simple recipe I have for you.

RED VELVET TRUFFLES - 7 DAYS OF RED VELVET

Only 2 days to Valentines Day and were into decadent romantic desserts. I love desserts that are easy to make, with little ingredients and best of all, no bake! This recipe has literally only two ingredients yet its so delicious you'd think it has a thousand ingredients. Truffles come in various flavors, colors, or even toppings. Since I made some strawberry brigadeiros truffles I knew I had to sneak another one in for my 7 Days Of Red Velvet series. Treats that you can make in more minutes are the best since you don't have to think or worry about how to make them. The best part is that these truffles do not have to be only for special occassions, you even have them for breakfast, how about that?

I have been in love before and it was the best experiece I had. I miss that. Looking forward to what this Valentines Day has to bring. Back to crêpes. Red velvet crêpes are easy and so fun to make, especially if you are making them with kids. You can make them even more romantic by cutting them into heart shapes.

RED VELVET PANCAKES - 7 DAYS OF RED VELVET

I'm listening to James Ingram as I write up this post. I love classic music escape especially the 80's and 90's R&B. The music was timeless, evoking emotions that you never knew you had. His songs remind me of being in love, puppy love. When you thought a certain boy was your world and the very essence of your being was him existing. I chuckle at the memories but I miss such kind of love, filled with innocence, pure bliss and devotion to being each other's only admiration. Love has changed, I think, it has become to some extent selfish, indulgence and "me me me" kind of expectations. Even R&B of nowadays is filled with too much vulgar language, swear words that you wonder are you being serenaded or being insulted? I did not mean to rant, I promise, maybe its all these memories bubbling to the top. Now back to reality, food reality. Today is the first of my 7 Days of Red Velvet series and what better way to start it off than with the most delicious, perfect and romantic breakfast of all time, pancakes! Red velvet pancakes! Wake him/her to the smell of this delicious treat and you will be on your way to having a perfect morning and the perfect rest of the day. Shall we?

RED VELVET SHORTBREAD COOKIES

Hey lovelies! So my cookie obsession continues, I'm loving these three ingredient cookie recipes that make it that much fun and simplifying the life of my cravings. Cookies are meant to be that satisfying soothing comfort when you want a quick sugar fix. I love that these are crunchy as compared to these that were chewy and rich . Cookies are most commonly baked until crisp or just long enough that they remain soft, but some kinds of cookies are not baked at all. Cookies are made in a wide variety of styles, using an array of ingredients including sugars, spices, chocolate, butter, peanut butter, nuts, or dried fruits. The softness of the cookie may depend on how long it is baked. This recipe is so simple and the results make it so worth it. I love that with cookies you can add any ingredient that you heart fancies. Once you make these cookies, you will be making so many other cookies and make them your own.

red-velvet-crepes-with-chocolate-drizzle-nairobi-kitchen-recipe

I love anything Red Velvet! If there was Red Velvet Tea I'd drink it. I'm always looking for something interesting to make for breakfast and Crepes are always at the top of my list for delicious breakfast. I made Apple Stuffed Crepes which were on point! Caramelized Apples are just perfect for Crepes. Note, make them again. Find my other Red Velvet love on this Mug Cake Recipe. My love for all things Red Velvet just called me to this breakfast dish. And so I just had to give it a go. They smelled delicious even before I finished cooking. Guilty! I ate the first one I made. "It's not perfect babe, you can't present such imperfections..." my brain coerced me, of course the perfectionist ocd in me agreed and in went the first, and the second... tihihihi... They always say, you never know if its good unless you try it, and they were right. Red Velvet Crepes are that good. That addictive and that damn delicious! They only take 5 minutes to prep, and 15 minutes to cook, 60 seconds to eat lol! Very simple to make you'll be making them daily if you can. These would have been perfect for Valentines Day, but there is always next year aye, or make everyday special and make these Red Velvet Crepes for your loved ones. Or just for yourself, self love is cool too😊. I didn't add any filling, just sprinkled with icing Sugar and drizzled with Chocolate Sauce! Can I hear someone say Aiyeeeei!

red-velvet-mug-cake-nairobi-kitchen-recipe

It's Thursday! I don't know why I am excited about it but, let's face it, it's one day to Friday and then it will be one Day to the weekend. Well, looking forward to the weekend though I don't really have any plans, it's still early to dismiss so we'll see. So I woke up feeling like baking, just one of those things that I love to fill my free time with. And what have I been dreaming about all week? Red Velvet Cake! I've never really tried to bake one so I decided why not use the simplest method that I know, the Microwave Mug Cake. It's really simple and if it backfires, I can be the only one who is disappointed. I decided if this works out, then I will definitely try the Oven Baked Red Velvet Cake. And so it goes that my latest Mug Cake Obsession continues...This time we will indulge in the delicious, Classic and Moist Red Velvet Cake.Who doesn't love Red Velvet Cake? It is just the perfect treat for any occasion or just because you have a craving for something sweet and decadent. This recipe is so quick and easy since it's whipped up in a Mug and cooks in the Microwave in minutes! Trust me you will satisfy your craving for Red Velvet Cake. My Red Velvet Mug Cake is Egg-less so you can enjoy it whether you eat Eggs or not. This time I decided to Oil my Mug so that I can be able to remove the Cake from the Mug and serve it on a Plate. Check out my two other Mug Cakes! Read about my Chocolate Mug Cake and Carrot Cake Mug Cake.
