Indulge in Decadence with these Chocolate Crinkle Cookies - VLOGMAS DAY 19

Day 19 of my #VLOGMAS2021, and this one is for the true chocolate lovers. The unapologetic cocoa fanatics. The people who believe chocolate is not just a food group, it’s a love language. Today, we’re indulging in something rich, soft, and absolutely stunning: Chocolate Crinkle Cookies. These are no ordinary cookies. They’re soft on the inside, slightly crisp on the outside, with a delicate coating of powdered sugar that bakes into the most beautiful cracked, or “crinkled,” pattern. The result is a treat that looks as if it’s been dusted by the first snow of winter. And honestly, could there be a cookie more perfect for the holiday season?

Chocolate Chip Cookies for the Holiday - VLOGMAS DAY 16

It’s officially cookie week! And what better way to kick things off than with a tried-and-true favorite, the humble yet absolutely irresistible Chocolate Chip Cookie. Day 16 of #VLOGMAS2021 starts with a treat that’s as much about nostalgia as it is about flavor. These beauties are chewy and soft on the inside, with just the right amount of crunch on the outside, the kind of cookie that makes you close your eyes for a second when you take that first bite. Now, let’s be honest: is there really anyone who doesn’t love chocolate chip cookies? They’re like the universal language of dessert. From after-school snacks to holiday trays to midnight cravings, they fit in everywhere. And the best part? They’re as easy to make as they are to enjoy. Plus, if you can somehow resist baking the whole batch at once, you can freeze extra dough for future fresh-baked cookie emergencies, because yes, that’s absolutely a thing.

Irresistibly Moist Chocolate Banana Bread - VLOGMAS DAY 3

This moist delicious Banana bread makes it to day three of my #VLOGMAS2021 journey. This bread week is proving to be fun coming up with recipe ideas that I can add to my challenge. I love that banana bread gives you both that healthy-ish feel and dessert feel all in one because it is almost like eating cake! Banana bread is a type of bread made from mashed bananas. It is often a moist, sweet, cake-like quick bread; however there are some banana bread recipes that are traditional-style raised breads.  There are various variations of the banana bread which include, Banana raisin bread, Banana nut bread (often featuring chopped nuts, such as walnuts, pecans or almonds), Chocolate chip banana bread (featuring chocolate chips), Banana bread muffins, Vegan banana bread (made without eggs or dairy products), Blueberry banana bread (or other fruits such as raspberry or orange to add additional flavours and more. There's something undeniably comforting about the aroma of freshly baked banana bread wafting through the kitchen. The rich, moist texture, the sweet aroma of ripe bananas, and the warmth of cinnamon and vanilla – it all combines to create a slice of pure nostalgia. Whether you're a seasoned baker or a kitchen novice, our Moist Banana Bread recipe with 2 cups of all-purpose flour is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.

Nutmeg Chocolate Mixed Spice Rock Cakes

Rock cakes kind of always remind me of Christmas. I know, I know, it's only March and it was Christmas only 4 months ago! But hear me out. Rock cakes especially cinnamon ones remind me of mom's baking when we were kids. The smell of baked goods wafting through the house was a sign that it was Christmas morning.  We would all excitedly go to the kitchen knowing that freshly baked goodies awaited us. The best part of eating these rock cakes was the crunchy slightly hard exterior then biting into the soft fluffy insides! Aaaaaah, great memories.

Eggless Chocolate Rock Muffins

A simple yet delicious chocolate treat as a desert or snack. Mom used to make them for birthdays or even holidays. She used to make them plain and sometimes add cinnamon. I remember how we used to go sit in the kitchen watching mum bake. For me I loved licking the batter from the bowl, I would tell mum not to clean the bowl as I would do it for her, only to sit on the floor and lick the cake batter! Brings back so many many memories. Today I chose to make them chocolate muffins, after all chocolate should be part of everyone'd diet, don't you think?  I love muffins because they are big fluffy delicious and totally filling. I love how they look like they are pouring over the muffin tin while baking, totally satisfying and therapeutic! The almost shapeless imperfection of the muffin is what gives it that distinct. I have always made these muffins with eggs but I wanted to see how they would taste without eggs. Didn't miss the eggs whatsoever! The chocolate muffins turned out soft, crumbly yet fluffy and delicious!

Simple Chocolate Crepes

I love chocolate and if I could eat it every day I swear I would. Crepes on the other hand I love too and could eat every second if I could. So put chocolate and crepes in the same sentence and you have me gone into foodie paradise. These very easy chocolate crepes are decadent and can be served up as a dessert, for breakfast or even brunch, every minute of the day if you will! As much as you can devour these delicious chocolate crepes on their own, you can add extra toppings to make them that much extra. Toppings include fresh fruit, whipped cream, cream cheese, ice cream, dulce de leche sauce for a sweet taste.  You can decide to pair the topping options like using peanut butter and bananas, whipped cream and strawberries, jam and peanut butter or even apples and honey.  When it comes to the batter since the crepes are so thin you want a super smooth chocolate batter. The pan should be hot so that they cook quickly enough. Add enough batter to cover the bottom of the pan completely so that the crepes are not heavy. I love how light and airy these chocolate crepes turned out and I finished a whole batch without blinking! That’s how good these are and you will definitely be making them on a daily basis, not only for special occasions but just because.
