Chili Black Pepper Potato Soup with Bold Flavor in Every Spoonful

If you're craving a bowl of cozy comfort with a bold twist, this Chili Black Pepper Potato Soup is it. Creamy potatoes meet the heat of chili and the bite of freshly cracked black pepper in this hearty, warming soup. Perfect for chilly nights or when you just want something filling, flavorful, and easy to make. I love a bowl of warm soup to keep me cozy and cuddled. It's almost like getting a hug from the inside out. Potatoes are generally hearty, so add to that coconut milk and some heat from the red chilli and you have a match made in a bowl. I had so many potatoes in the house and I realized the only thing I have yet to make them with is soup. I have come to realize that soup is not just one of those remedies for colds or even for when you are sick.

This Rich Creamy Shells Pasta is a Smooth, Cheesy Comfort in a Bowl

Looking for the perfect weeknight comfort food that’s quick, indulgent, and ultra-satisfying? This Rich Creamy Shells Pasta is your answer. With tender shell pasta coated in a velvety, cheesy cream sauce, this dish brings warmth and luxury to your table in under 30 minutes. Whether served as a main or a side, it’s bound to become a go-to favorite. It's been a while since I cooked a pasta dish so I thought why not go with pasta shells. I love this type of pasta because it has the added advantage of holding the ingredients inside their shells, so you always get that extra sauce stuck in between the hollow spaces. I also love cooking with pasta shells because they kind of remind me of the ocean. Which I haven't been to in a really long time. The last time I ever visited an ocean was when we were in primary school for a class 8 school trip when we were younger. It was a trip to Mombasa for a week. My best days were those spent collecting shells, which I would then tightly squeeze against my ear to hear the ocean breeze.

Sweet, Creamy & No-Churn Condensed Milk Mango Sorbet

Beat the heat with this Condensed Milk Mango Sorbet, a refreshingly sweet and creamy frozen dessert that’s bursting with tropical mango flavor. Made with just ripe mangoes, condensed milk, and a splash of lime, it’s the easiest way to enjoy a no-churn sorbet at home. Smooth, rich, and ready in a few simple steps – no fancy equipment needed! I can officially say I'm in love with mango sorbet. Thus, one is especially creamy because I used condensed milk to add that touch of richness that comes with the condensed milk. The best part of this sorbet is that it only requires two ingredients and no machine to create such a decadent dessert. It is so smooth it just slides down your throat. This reminds me of when we were young and we would get ice cream after attending church. It was always a Lyons Maid ice cream.

How to Create an Avocado Garnish Here's How to Impress with Every Plate

Avocados aren't just delicious, they're also perfect for creating stunning garnishes that elevate your dish visually and nutritionally. Whether you're aiming for an avocado fan, avocado rose, or elegant slices, this guide will walk you through easy, step-by-step techniques to turn a ripe avocado into edible art. For me, Avocados are life! Since they are seasonal fruits, I always look forward to their arrival with bated breath, like my life depended on me getting the avocado. I live, live for the days when I can have my hands on avocados so that I can eat them as fruits, desserts, or even the main meal. How awesomely delicious is guacamole that you can eat with this delicious Kenyan style nyama choma without the guilt? It is said that people first eat their food by sight. How food is presented really matters, especially to us foodies who sometimes get too clinically obsessed when it comes to food pairings and presentations. One of the best ways to present interesting and delicious-looking food is by garnishes. Garnishing food just gives it that much more EXTRA vibe! Food should never be boring.

Bright, Refreshing, and Naturally Sweet Blueberry Sorbet

When the sun is blazing and you’re craving something icy and sweet without the guilt, this homemade blueberry sorbet is your go-to treat. Bursting with antioxidant-rich blueberries and made with just a handful of natural ingredients, this sorbet is not only easy to prepare but also dairy-free and absolutely refreshing. It’s the perfect way to showcase summer berries at their best! I love yoghurt, and if I could take it every day I really would. And what better way to make yoghurt even more delicious, not that it needs any more deliciousness. I've always wanted to try making frozen yoghurt, and even though it is still cold here in Nairobi, I can't help in indulge in one or two frozen treats. That's how far my love for frozen treats goes, I would eat ice cream while it is raining! I made homemade cookies and cream ice cream, my all-time favorite ice cream flavor!
