Watermelon Sorbet – Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. What is watermelon sorbet?

It’s a dairy-free, fruit-based frozen dessert made primarily from blended watermelon, sweetener, and a splash of citrus. It's light, refreshing, and naturally hydrating, perfect for hot days.

2. Do I need an ice cream maker?

Nope! You can make it in:

  • A blender or food processor, then freeze
  • Or churn it in an ice cream maker for smoother texture

3. How do I get the best texture?

For creamy, scoopable sorbet:

  • Use frozen watermelon chunks to blend
  • Add a bit of lime juice or simple syrup
  • Stir every 30–60 mins while freezing to break ice crystals

4. Can I make it without added sugar?

Yes. Ripe watermelon is sweet on its own, but a small amount of maple syrup, honey, or agave can enhance flavor and texture. For sugar-free versions, use stevia or monk fruit.

5. How long does it keep?

Best enjoyed within 3–5 days. Store in an airtight container to avoid freezer burn.
