1 Mango
250 ml Vanilla Yogurt
Oreo
Chia Seeds (optional)
1/4 Teaspoon Cinnamon (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
Pound/break the Oreo into small or chunky pieces
Add chopped mango, cinnamon into a blender, add 1/4 cup water and blend until smooth. If too thick you can add a tablespoon of water at a time until you get your desired consistency
Start layering the parfait. Add the Oreo into a dessert glass and press at the bottom so that it forms a tight base for all other ingredients
Pour in the mango puree as a second layer of the dessert
Your third layer should be the vanilla yogurt
Top with some more mango puree at the top of the glass
Sprinkle chunks of Oreo on top of the mango puree as garnish

FAQs – Oreo Mango Yogurt Parfait
1. Can I use Greek yogurt instead of regular yogurt?
Yes, you can absolutely use Greek yogurt. It gives the parfait a thicker, creamier texture and adds a protein boost. If you prefer a lighter consistency, you can mix Greek yogurt with a bit of milk or water to loosen it before layering.
2. Can I make this parfait in advance?
You can prepare this parfait a few hours in advance, ideally up to 6 hours before serving. However, keep in mind that the Oreos will soften over time as they absorb moisture from the yogurt and mango. If you prefer them crunchy, layer the Oreos just before serving.
3. What kind of mango is best for this recipe?
Ripe, juicy mangoes work best—varieties like Ataulfo, Alphonso, or Kent are naturally sweet and have a smooth texture. Ensure the mango is ripe but firm enough to hold its shape when chopped.
4. Is this dessert suitable for kids?
Definitely! Kids love the mix of crunchy Oreos, sweet mango, and creamy yogurt. It's a fun and semi-healthy treat that sneaks in fruit and calcium. You can also reduce the portion size for little ones or use crushed Oreo thins for a lighter option.
5. Can I make this recipe dairy-free or vegan?
Yes, simply use a plant-based yogurt like coconut, almond, or soy yogurt. Also, ensure the Oreo cookies you're using are vegan-friendly (most classic Oreos are), and you’ll have a delicious dairy-free or vegan parfait.
6. Can I use frozen mangoes instead of fresh ones?
Frozen mangoes can be used if fresh ones aren't available. Let them thaw and drain any excess liquid before adding to your parfait to avoid watering down the yogurt layers.
7. How can I add a little more texture or nutrition?
You can sprinkle chia seeds, granola, or crushed nuts between the layers for added crunch and nutrients. A drizzle of honey or maple syrup can also enhance the sweetness if your mangoes aren’t very ripe.
8. How long can I store leftover parfaits?
Stored in an airtight container or covered jar, the parfait can last in the fridge for about 1 day. However, the texture will change as the ingredients soften and blend together, so it's best enjoyed fresh.
