COOKIES N CREAM ICE CREAM


Whoop! Whoop! So excited to be sharing my first home made Ice Cream and not just any Ice Cream but my very favorite... Cookies N Cream! Ice Cream is just the best dessert in the world! Psst, Don't tell anyone, it's our little secret 😉😉😉... I have always wanted to give this recipe a try since its always great when you can make your own desserts. I decided to go one step at a time.So the first is that I had to make my own Condensed Milk but you can still buy condensed milk in the shops. The best part of this homemade Cookies n' Cream Ice Cream is that it needs only three ingredients to make which you can get easily, so there really is no excuse why you should not be making Ice Cream almost daily. Homemade Ice cream is great because you get the chance to experiment with different flavours that might not be available in the market.
INGREDIENTS


2 Cups Whipping Cream
1 Tablespoon Vanilla Essence
1 Cup Homemade Condensed Milk
Chocolate Sandwich Cookies (Oreos)

METHOD

Crush the Oreos. You can put them in a zip-lock bag and beat into chunky pieces. Or you can just do as I did, beat them inside their packaging.


Pour the crushed cookies onto a plate. Set aside


The crushed Oreos ready to be used in our ice cream. Remove a handful of the crushed cookies for later use


In a large bowl using an electric mixer whip the whipping cream and vanilla essence. I placed my bowl in a larger basin with ice cold water. This is because you need the bowl cold so that the whipping cream will stiffen.


The whipping cream will start off still light and have bubbles. Increase speed to high so that the whipping cream will start to be thicker


The whipping cream is coming together becoming thicker which is what you need


You can check how thick the whipping cream has become when you dip the whisks in the mixture and see whether the cream is sticking to the whisk blades


Almost there. The whipping cream has started forming lovely stiff peaks that we want to make a great Ice Cream. This process takes a bit of time to achieve the results you want.



Now its perfect. Soft peaks have formed and you can see that the whipping cream is sticking to your mixer's blades.


Pour the Condensed Milk into the whipping cream mixture


Gently fold the whipping cream and Condensed Milk mixture until well combined



You will get a smooth mixture


Take the crushed Oreo cookies and pour into the whipping cream


Gently fold roughly the crushed Oreo Cookies with the whipping Cream


The Oreo cookies and the whipping cream mixture well combined


Spoon the mixture into a plastic container or metal loaf pan. Sprinkle the remaining crushed Oreo cookies on top of your ice cream


Freeze your ice cream for a minimum 8 hours but is best left overnight in the refrigerator until frozen

The homemade Cookies n' Cream Ice Cream came out Soft, silky smooth and delicious


You can taste the chunky Oreo cookies in the Ice Cream as it melts in your mouth


I had so much fun making this awesome Cookies n' Cream Ice Cream that I cannot wait to make many more flavors now that I know I can do it.

COOKIES N' CREAM OREO ICE CREAM
Ingredients
  • 2 Cups Whipping Cream
  • 1 Tablespoon Vanilla Essence
