EASY REFRIGERATOR STORAGE TIPS

Hey Lovelies,
Today I will be sharing with you simple refrigerator tips. Storing food in the refrigerator seems like a simple affair but it needs some techniques and tips. When storing food in the fridge, you can keep things in place with baskets and label the baskets for eadier access. Line your shelves with easy-to-clean mats. This will give you an easier time while cleaning and will take less time. Mason jars are the longest-lasting way to keep salads. They are shaped well to fit into the storage space. Keep your milk and other dairy out of the door, since the door keeps being opened.Organize food items by size. Doing so will create a function for each shelf and make it much easier to locate your small, hard to see items. Store items in jars or bottles in the refrigerator door and bagged items in the freezer door. Read more storage ideas below
Set the temperature to 40 degrees F (5 degrees C) or below, any warmer and you risk growing harmful food bacteria
Check humidity settings on produce crispers and deli drawers. Each needs to be the correct setting to maintain optimal freshness.
Store left overs for up to 4 days in clear glass containers. Seeing what foods are left iver helps you eat them up sooner.
Do not mix fruits, vegetables and meat in the same crisper- contamination leads to spoilage and food waste.

Don't place your milk or quick to expire perishables in your fridge doors where temparature can flactuate. Stor milk in a safe zone or on the middle shelf.
Store raw meat and seafood on the bottom shelf to prevent drips from contaminating the food below. Wrap meat produce properly.
Declutter crowds. Air needs to circulate around food to keep it cool. An overly stocked or crowded fridge can create warm spots and cool spaces leading to spoilage.
Keep it whole. Don't slice food until you're ready to consume it, unless you're freezing the lot. Chopped meat, fruit and veggies spoil faster than whole items.
Fridge rotation. Before every grocery trip, move older foods hiding in the back of your fridge foward-you'll see what's in stock.
Keep it clean. Wipe spills and messes when fresh to keep your fridge tidy and clean.
Remove expired items to save space for fresh left overs and foods you'll want to eat.
Keep a container of activated carbon (from any pet store) to absorb odors
